Welcome to Mykotopia
A marketplace for fungi, fungi-products, and fungi-knowledge.

My Gene bank
A modest, continious growing, library of scandinavian genetics
The spore is the absolute start of a funghi´s life. It's produced at the gills below the cap and contains all the genetic information it needs to start its life given the right niche is provided. In these days where the boreal forest is deconstructed and demolished to make way for housing and infrastructure, the fungus that live there is removed as a side effect as well. This is all happening so fast, and we dont know yet the potentials of these mushrooms that we are now losing.

Luckily, the sporeprint is an easy way to at least secure the DNA for many, many years downstream, until we have the knowledge and can start rebuild the forest and its mutualistic healthproviders.

...do you have a childhood memory where you used to hunt for Chantarelles in a secret place that only you and your parents knew about? Is that place gone now? How about re-introducing it!

My Mushrooms
A sustainable way to secure my nutrients with the use of household waste as substrate
From my library of spores i am able to call forth a vigorous mycelium from carbon-waste products and ecological grains. I am constantly searching for a way to serve my myceliums requirements, and i have a lot to learn still, but nature is not like in the lab - without competition and with the time and effort, i can train my strains to take use of a broad variety of substrates and turn it into high quality proteins. How cool is that?

The stock and quantity of fresh mushrooms are at a constant variety as well as ever expanding.

My Tinctures
A easy way to extract and preserve healthbeneficial metabolites from mushrooms
Mushrooms are enzymatically superior beings, meaning they produce unique enzymes and metabolites in order to break down material for nutrients where other taxa cannot. Some of these metabolites are proven to serve beneficial for our health and well being, and thus should be implemented in your daily diet as a precursor to get, and stay, healthy.

My tinctures are double extracted in drip bottles- meaning that i extract first from alcohol, then from hot water, in order to secure a broad- spectrum-product that is both safe and easy to use!

Join me
A introduction on how to make your own, and hunt for your own delicious mushrooms
During a weekend with me on my farm you will learn how to grow your own grainspawn of gourmet mushrooms, and how to make substrates out of your own household waste. We will also visit my private forest to hunt for spores and delicacy funghi. I will ensure that you learn enough so that a light is ignited, ready and confident enough to precede your own quest for mushroom hunting.

Community
Fungi connecting people
Fungi is so fascinating. For me, fungi went from an interesting species, to a hobby, to a lifestyle in matter of a few years. No wonder really, because despite which glasses you have on when you look at them (be it ecological, pharmaceutical, agricultural, science, gourmet, forest gatherers or spiritual-third-eye-glasses) these species impact us on a daily basis whether you like it or not.
In reality, most knowledge about mushrooms died along with our ancestors and we were left a bit anxious and scared on how to approach them. We lost touch with our culture identity around mushrooms even though they appear often times in our modern culture and ancient history without us fully understanding why.
Do you feel the call to take back your history and endorse fungi into your life again but feel a bit helpless on where to even start? Luckily, internet forums and myco-community world wide have been there! And they are more than happy to provide answers and share knowledge.

Here is a list of help that can be provided, and inspiration such as my favorite podcast, some of my favorite people (Alan Rockefeller and Paul Stamets), a global help for mushroom ID, a local group of mushroom ID . Remember always to take pictures of the gills, the hat, the stem and the bottom of the stem before submitting + take notes on the habitat such as which kind of tree did it grow next to - it really helps!).
When i'm stuck i upload a photo to either iNaturalist or Artsorakelet - these apps can take you far, but they also sometimes get a bit off trail with their suggestion in my opinion so i recommend that you should always ask a person with knowledge if you are uncertain before you digest a mushroom that is new to you if you want to avoid a tummy ache afterwards.

Happy hunt!
